Coolin’ It.
A Scene from this Morning’s Walk.
As I was doing this morning’s ground pound, I was formulating a post in my cruller about politics and stuff, but the more I thought about it, the angrier I was becoming. It occurred to me that my anger was screwing up my walk on a beautiful, crisp autumn day.
I chose to let it go for today.
In fact, I think I just might try a blog-free weekend. I have a few chores to attend to and a book or two that needs reading.
We’ll see how it goes.
Probably a good move on your part. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one, unless of course, you’re a Jets fan.

I can sympathize. When I’m out hiking, my mind is so free to just think away… and often so much garbage in the world that’s on my mind just gets me angry. It often becomes time to tune it all out, maybe play some music and just enjoy being outside getting some exercise. But I guess, in a way, it’s a good thing when we get angry… just shows we care. Too many don’t.
Have a nice weekend 🙂

Nice neighborhood for a lovely walk. No wonder you don’t want to leave.

I know exactly what you mean Jim… I need to get out and take a walk (perhaps just as importantly as to perform the herculean task of burning off as many calories as I consumed on Thanksgiving)

I, too, was formulating a post in my head about a week or so ago, about how renegade it is for moonbat peeps to compare George W. Bush to Hitler, all the while exalting communists like Chavez and Castro as being “for the people.†For the oppression of “the people,†perhaps, but, Guyk & Zooomabooma did two awesome posts about socialist dictators in the same week that I was busting my groodies trying to say in less than 2,000 words what they were able to say in 200. Ergo, I definitely understand needing to let something go. Usually. Photoshopping your magnificent hair on turkeys, gators, and Love Ewes…not so much.

Love the pic!
Oh yeah, and it’s a really really good idea to step away from the computer and all news sources for a few days sometimes. I don’t do it while young son is deployed – but when he’s within telephone reach, I will take entire weekends and not look at the computer or the news or anything – amazing how restful it is after a couple of days!
