The Wisdom of Al.
The quote that caught my attention on last night’s episode of Deadwood was Al’s observations on the value of life not much worth living because of a horrible terminal illness:
“A human being in his last extremity is a bag of shit.”
Don’t judge Al too harshly until you have seen the episode.
That was SUCH an incredible episode. Clearly one of the best this season.

I second what Kate said.
Haven’t re-viewed it yet. I think I’m savoring the anticipation of even a reviewing, at this point. Which is just so pathetic, I know.
I read that the second season will come out next March. I hope the DVDs are here a bit sooner, but I bet they time it so it “chums” properly with the second season premiere. Like we need chumming.
