Infamy.

Sadly, with each passing year, as the memories of the attack of September 11, 2001 and the horrors it brought fade away (or politically morph into a “man-made disaster”), it becomes increasingly important to remind folks of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, “A date which will live in infamy.”

You can read and hear President Roosevelt’s December 8, 1941 address to congress here.

As a smarter person than I once said, “Those who forget the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it.”

  1. I certainly will not forget December 7, 1941 or September 11, 2001.

  2. I won’t forget.I won’t abandon the memory of those who sacrificed for my freedom. l teach my grandchildren of the price that was payed by our forefathers so that we can live free. I will ensure they know that the fight never ends and that American soldiers will always be at war and that they are to be honored. They fight for freedom and, in that, there is no greater honor.

  3. I will never forget either date. Both dates equal the realization that there are people out there who do not like America and want to destroy her.
If only the President and his allies in Washington understood that.
