The One’s The State of the Union Address: My Impressions.
1. A steaming pile of bullshit. (I’ll reconsider that if it turns out that the health care negotiations really were on C-Span and I missed them.)
2. I can’t even stand to listen to his voice.
That is all.
You really watched it? I’ve missed the SOTU for the past three years…for sanity’s sake. I’d end up rocking back and forth in a padded room if I had to listen to him, or turning a lamp on and off again 100 times in a row.

Read like it was his 2nd campaign speech for 2012, the 1st being the pep rally in Tucson. I quit listening to SOTU speeches about 10 years ago. They are nothing (usually) other than pep rallies. Sputnik moment? Seriously? GMAFB.

I’m with you on listening to his voice. If I have to endure one more of his disgusting, hissing S’s at the end of his words…I am going to simply ram knitting needles into my temples. Or jump through a plate-glass window. Jeez, those hissing S’s make listening to nails on a chalkboard seem rather soothing.

I don’t know about people who won’t watch the SOTU, but I do know it is always better to know your enemy, than not.
