Father’s Day.
My father didn’t finish high school, and yet I believe he was the wisest man I’ve ever known. I miss him.

Jimbo…..
Right on my friend….My Dad did not finish school either, had to leave & get a job to help support his sisters. Way back then a high school diploma was nice but not a necessity.Dad worked hard,he played hard but was wise in many ways.
He told me when I graduated from high school he was proud of me but to always remember no job was beneath me if I needed money, hard work never killed anybody.
When I married , he said Son! do better for your family then I did for mine. When Mom passed , Dad came to live with my wife & I….he was trying at times but he was Dad & I was glad to have him.
He is gone now for many years, looking back at the success of my sisters & yes me …Dad! you done fine! I miss him a lot.

… my Father finished 5th grade and then went to work on the farm…… he later did 2 1/2 tours in Vietnam, and ended up running his own Maintenance of Way gang for Southern Railroad for 35 years…… not to bad for a guy with his education……
…and I miss him too…..
