Port Newark, Bada-Bing, Cloning, and the Vatican.

Peggy Noonan, who went to high school and college in New Jersey, covers the above seemingly inconcongruous topics and more in this piece, which points out why some of us who live in this part of Jersey are just a bit more frightened about terrorism than folks who live elsewhere.

  1. Thanks for the pointer to Noonan. Fascinating. And a bit spooky, as well — a “get out of Dodge kit?” You think a government, particularly *this* government, would admit that the danger is getting greater? Fat chance.

  2. I can understand the anxiety about terrorists in Newark but the cloning tangent almost had me wondering if she was going to start talking about extraterrestrials and anal probes.

I will admit is does look from the outside the powers that be in NJ are beginning to lose their minds.

  3. . . . and did you see Roberto’s post/link about the benefits of coffee-drinking? Wouldn’t it be nice if I attempted to stay on topic in comments once in a while?
