Fort Holabird Info Request.
In a comment to this 2003 post about Fort Holabird (which most people won’t bump into), a reader makes the following request. Perhaps someone can help.
My dad attended the agent handlers course at Fort Holabird in the late 1950s, in fact during the 1958 NY Giants- Baltimore Colts world championship. He returned for refresher training prior to going to Viet Nam in 1966. Does anyone remember him, his name was Norman J. Melody? Does anyone have any photos of Fort Holabird?

I was at Ft Holabird in April and May of 1969 for an intelligence analyst class (96B20). Most of us had just finished basic training but we had some combat veteran Marines in our course as well. Ah, Spring nights lounging by Colgate Creek, the pig sisters at the EM club, and getting to know how bad parts of Baltimore actually were. Next stop, Vietnam.

You may have just missed me. I believe I completed my training at Fort Holabird some time around mid-April. There is another post on which former Fort Holabird folks show up, and that is here.

Just finished typing up my dad’s military notes. He also attended agent training / handling at Ft. Holabird, sometime between mid 1950, to maybe late 50’s — he hasn’t given any specific dates, so I will ask him. His name is Morris Beckman.

Was stationed at Fort Holibird from approx March to Aug 1969,
I’m trying to get names and addresses of fellow personnel stationed at the following location:
108th MI Gp.
Fort Devens, Ma.
August 1969 to December 1971

I was at Fort Holabird from Jan 1968 to May of 68 then off to Germany where I stayed until my ETS Sept 71.
