Friday Respite from the Crazy.
I’ve had my fill of politics and more than my fill of Trayvon this week, so I figure it’s time for a bit of amazing street magic.

There is no place for this in a civilized society.
On Saturday, Mikhail Muhammad [of the New Black Panther Party] said Zimmerman “should be fearful for his life. You can’t keep killing black children†and stated the party’s justice policy: “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a toothâ€. (Link)
The State of Florida should take action against the New Black Panther Party under state criminal law, because it is obvious that anything these lawless thugs do is okay with Eric Holder’s Department of Justice.
Seriously, I don’t know how much more crazy bullshit I can stand.
1. When The One thought the microphone was not open, he told the Russian President that he’ll have “more flexibility†in their discussions, particularly those involving missile defense, if they are held off until after the November election. Hearing this, I can only imagine what that son-of-a-bitch has in store for this country, should he get a second term.
2. At this point, it is safe to say that no one knows exactly what happened that ultimately resulted in the shooting death of Travyon Martin. You would not know that by the unrelenting shrieking by the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, the seemingly ever-present, detestable race hustlers and the New Black Panther Party, which has offered a bounty for the “capture†of George Zimmerman. As far as they’re concerned, Zimmerman was a gun-toting racist who was out hunting for innocent black folks to shoot. Even The One couldn’t manage to keep his goddamned mouth shut, and Holder has apparently decided that this is case that warrants investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice (the New Black Panthers voter-intimidation case, not so much).
Uh-oh. The statement by an eyewitness to the event (made to the police before the national hysteria broke loose), Zimmerman’s physical condition and the condition of his clothing at the time of his arrest, and the actual 911 call made by Zimmerman don’t fit the screeching narrative the country has been subjected to.
If people don’t take a step back and wait for the facts to be sorted out, no good – for anyone – will come of this. You can take that to the bank.
UPDATE: The Obama campaign is selling hoodies on its website. The National Nightmare continues……….
It’s not much of a secret that I am a techno-doofus, and a techno-chicken, which, when taken together, means I don’t know shit about computers, and I’m afraid to tinker with anything more complicated than baby-level html. I would, therefore, appreciate your advice on what I hope is a simple matter.
The Symptoms
Lately, I have not been able to view videos other than You Tube videos. No Vimeo or anything like that. For example, I cannot view the video on this page.
Not being able to see certain videos is annoying, but it was easily tolerated, particularly for a techno-chicken. However two nights in a row, while both I and the computer were in “sleep†mode, I awakened to see the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. Gah!!
A reboot fixed the Blue Screen of Death on both occasions, but I decided to see what I could learn about the frightening phenomenon. I visited this site, and learned that the problem most likely is with “drivers†and something about “registry errors.†Drivers? Registry Errors? My farookin’ hair hurts!
The Fix?
As you can see, the site suggests two downloads for an “easy fix.†My question is, do you think I should download these things, or might smoke pour out of the computer? (I am using Windows Vista and Firefox.)
Thanking youse in advance.
UPDATE: I believe I fixed the problem. For some of you, the fix would have been as easy as changing socks, but for me, not so much. It appears that I was using old Adobe stuff and not the latest version of Firefox. In order to download the new Adobe stuff, I had to uninstall the old Adobe stuff. Any time I click on something that says “uninstall,†I get the hot squirts. Anyway, once I figured all that out, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. Still no videos, until I got the Adobe stuff “plugged into†Firefox.
Thanks for all your suggestions, both online and in emails. Much appreciated.
Take a look at Willie Nelson before a couple tons of pot.
The weed, hard living and age didn’t just affect his looks, but it also rotted his tax-evading brain.

In a recent Energy speech, The One wowed the crowed with this gem:
Let me tell you something. If some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail — [Laughter] — they must have been founding members of the Flat Earth Society. [Laughter.] They would not have believed that the world was round. [Applause.] We’ve heard these folks in the past. They probably would have agreed with one of the pioneers of the radio who said, “Television won’t last. It’s a flash in the pan.†[Laughter.] One of Henry Ford’s advisers was quoted as saying, “The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a fad.†[Laughter.]

It’s a must-read.

Last week, the Obama Administration sought to increase the Chevrolet Volt purchaser tax credit from $7,500 to $10,000.
All this for a car so dangerous to first responders that the Department of Energy allocated $4.4 million dollars for programs to prevent fire fighters from electrocuting themselves while trying to rescue crash victims.
…
The General Motors Service Technical College provides technical materials to first responders around the country. Just this week, their publication on the Volt was cited by a Baltimore County, Maryland Fire Service Special Interest Bulletin. After a bizarre paragraph extolling the virtues of the car itself, the bulletin gets down to the business of informing fire fighters of how to not kill themselves trying to rescue a crash victim.
It states:
“There is a yellow First Responder cable “cut†tag wrapped around the low volt positive battery cable behind the fuse panel door, located on the left side of the rear compartment (see diagram on next page). This cable should be cut first to disable the vehicle safely before beginning any extrication. The cable should be cut on both sides of the label to ensure the cut cable ends do not inadvertently touch and re-energize the vehicle.â€
General Motors also warns that “cutting these cables can result in serious injury or death.â€
Hence the need for spending $4.4 million in taxpayer money to train firefighters across the country to protect themselves from a car that the government paid people $7,500 per unit to purchase. … Read it all.
Can you read a story like this and still think that the Obama Regime is not taking this country down the toilet?

Don’t stay home on election day. There is too much, way too much, at stake.
